Letter From the Editor

What You Told Us

Thank you to all those who responded to the Reader Survey in our Spring 1994 issue. As a result, we now have a better idea of what topics are of greatest interest to our readers. Over the next few issues we will try to include articles that address your concerns and questions. Many respondents indicated that they are interested in a broad range of topics. Overall, however, greatest interest was expressed in algae and weed control, followed closely by domestic water quality and water quality research.

In response to a suggestion from one of our readers, an index for Vol 1 No 1 through Vol 4 No 1 has been included in this issue. Also in response our readers' suggestions, future issues will feature a "Letters to the Editor" column. So please let me know what special problems you have encountered and what solutions you have developed.

A special thank you to the readers who told us that Prairie Water News is a valuable source of practical and up-to-date information on rural water quality in the Prairies. I will strive to ensure that it remains so.

RURAL WATER QUALITY WORKSHOP

It will be of interest to rural water users, operators of small systems, suppliers of water treatment equipment and chemicals, provincial and federal staff involved with rural water issues, and researchers and academics. Discussion sessions will comprise an important aspect of the workshop.
